There are only a few things that still need to be done to turn this project into a real organization, and it can be done in as little as 3 weeks. Continue reading...
Here is a list of the items I believe are required to setup the nonprofit:
- About $2,000
- A board of directors
- Officers (preferably individuals with nonprofit or city government experience)
- An official location
- Creation of Bylaws
The money would be spent for the following:
- $359 for Legalzoom.com Express Gold Service (Would form the nonprofit in 7-10 business days)
- $45 California State Filing Fee
- $495 for Legalzoom.com 501(c)(3) Federal Tax Exemption Application Preparation
- $750 for IRS Filing Fee for 501(c)(3) Application (because expected income over the next 3 years is over $10,000)
- $179 for Registered Agent Fee
- Total: $1,828
Currently, everything is entirely functional at IVSuperstore.com because I have setup things using my business tax information. This is supposed to be only a temporary condition until the actual nonprofit has been created. So far, $0.57 have been made via the website, but people can start making purchases now because all of the money that is made from now until the formation of the nonprofit will be turned over once it has been formed. |
