The second method is just as crucial as the first, and residents will have to participate in both for this project to be a success. The second method requires active participation on IVSuperstore.org, the sister site to IVSuperstore.com.
Whatever decisions the people make, the Board will uphold and will distribute the funds according to what is decided on IVSuperstore.org. I believe that this method gives a good balance between the Board and the people. In the discussion forums there will be a lot of ideas flying around and not all of them will be possible at the same time. So, the job of the board will be to narrow the ideas down to about 5 individual projects or 5 packages (it may be that the money raised for that month could fund a number of ideas together, this would create a "package"). The job of the people will be to vote on which of these 5 projects or packages they think is most important/urgent. This method simplifies the idea narrowing process while still allowing the people to actively participate in the decision making of the nonprofit.
